My Dear Fellow Nigerians,
During any election, the job of the opposition candidate is to call for change, while that of the incumbent is to demonstrate prior achievements as an indicator of future performance. The change that my opponent is calling for is not good for you and me. No country succeeds if it is not administered based on merit, equity, fairness and good conscience. Just look at the leadership history of Nigeria of which my opponent was a core part of, and you will decide for yourself.
Since I came to office, I have consistently looked for and placed competent Nigerians to manage the affairs of this country regardless of tribe, creed or religious persuasion. I believe they have done a great job in the last 4 years, but admit that this is just the beginning. I want to promise you that our next 4 years will focus on deepening the positive work we have done on infrastructure, privatization, citizen empowerment, access to communities, family values, and circular orientation. We have delivered in energy, agriculture, banking & finance, automotive, ICT, commerce, oil & gas, shipping, real estate, education, health care and others. We will drop the things which we have not done well and yes we will be more direct and confrontational in dealing with insurgency and their open secret sponsors.
This portal has been built by ordinary Nigerians like you and me, only in the last 2 weeks because they feel that the message of our achievements and promise is not being communicated fully. They have donated the site to me to present to all Nigerians to see, in a single view, as much of the work we have done as possible. As an ongoing effort, it has not captured all our work by any means, but it is a laudable idea to help us get the information to you to see things for yourselves.
I therefore invite you to be like these patriotic Nigerians and do the following:
- Visit the site www.transformation.com.ng, and see some of the work we have done
- Upload projects and other achievements which you know about or we have done in your state and communities but are not here
I promise you that the next 4 years will be more boldly transformational because our values have the right focus, our intentions are honest and the desire to build a better, more inclusive and open Nigeria is clear from the quality and mix of our cabinet, and we will make it even better. Come with me, let us stay the course for progressive change not regressive change. With dipping oil prices, which of the candidates has the global credibility and can attract foreign investors to work with all of us to build a non-oil based economy? The answer is obvious.
Please Go and Vote for Progress – Vote for President Goodluck Jonathan.
If someone tells you we have not been working, or that we have not transformed things, tell them it is not true. Stand with me, stand with my family, stand with fellow Nigerians of honesty, integrity and good conscience and declare to them as follows;
This is it…
This is it…
And thanks be to God, This is it…
